Are the chrome strips on front and rear bumbers S8 only?

Are the chrome strips on front and rear bumbers S8 only?

I have a 97 D2 4.2 and only have the chrome strips on the lower front and rear doors... saw an S8 today with the chrome all the way around the car incl side mirror chrome caps...

That's a facelift (MY 2000+) change. . .

And it's aluminum, to match the rest of the car. Mirror caps are typically on the S and RS models, regardless of MY.

hey Ross;

You have a great picposter; your interior is rare, the headlight switch looks like my 99, did the facelifts get it moved to the knee area?

You have S8 caps and grill, on a non L A8? Where did you manage to have a meet of so many black A8s?

Thanks for the compliment. I have a regular A8 grill - just the S style mirror caps and wheels. Not sure about the headlight switch - I don't think it moved. Where did all the black A8s meet? Why, in Photoshop land, of course!
