Re: Thinking of getting the bluetooth upgrade module for CPT9000 GTI2go mentioned...
well that is exactly the contraption that I have in my car. my car is an 03 A8L with onstar and the phone in the center console on the self ejecting holder. the phone that is supposed to be in there is a Motorola v60 from Audi, the BTU is an adaptor to simulate a v60 but use any bluetooth phone. it works fine BUT, it is not as loud as I would like it to be. it does mute the stereo and the microphone works good but the speakers aren't loud enough, I have to close the windows and listen very closely. I have tried turning up the volume on the radio and the steering wheel but it is not enough. on the Motorola v60 phone there is a volume control button on the side, not on the BTU. also my phone book doesn't transfer over either, so when I hit the R/T button on the steering wheel it tells me the memory is empty. I have a crappy *** tmobile MDA that doesn't seem to link up phone books with the parrot, Rosen or the Motorola aftermarket bluetooth units either, for that matter my LG verizon doesn't either, but if you have a Motorola razr or slvr they my work I just haven't tried on of those yet, I can if you need me to, the guys that work for me have them and the seem to link up P/B much better. not really a big deal if you program in phone#s into the car and use the voice tag. for instance I programmed in my home # into the cars voice tag memory and now to call home I push the phone button on the steering wheel, it says "ready", I say "call" , it asks "name please", I say "home", it repeats "home" in my voice and dials it. now I can also say "dial" it asks "number please", I say "seven zero seven four five five one three two three dial " and it dials my store. it repeats every number as you say it too, somewhere in there it tells me " slower please" too. the only other thing I have noticed is it doesn't "see" the phone sometimes, It may be my crappy *** MDA but I am not sure. did I mention the MDA is a crappy phone?
Any how if you have any more questions I can help with let me know.
