i'm so glad we had this time together...
gentlemen, in the immortal words of my grandfather, "you know when you know." and i know it's time to move on..i have thoroughly enjoyed my 01 in the two and a half years and 70,000 miles i've owned her..at 111,000 miles i have no doubt she will last another 70,000 but i am not a DIYer and she is starting to dig into my pockets like a hooker at a casino table..the D3 prices have fallen within my reach and i've haggled with three different dealers until i finally got the price and car i wanted a certified 04 blk with amaretto, 19 inch rims,and all the goodies for $37,000... one man's poison (residual value) is another man's medicine.. thanks for all the great advice here. you guys are the best, i leave you now with more words of wisdom from my grandfather who said as he stumbled over to the barn with me carrying his moonshine jug.. "i know the horse is blind, but hook the damn thing up and let's ride anyway!".. keep riding brothers, keep riding.. don
