Engine noise from new (to me) S8

Engine noise from new (to me) S8
I just bought an '03 S8 down in California and on my drive north I noticed a bit of a strange noise. It's a sort of a lower pitched click / buzzing noise that seems to be coming from either side of the air intake.
Check out the linked clip for a video clip with the sound.
Any input on what it could be and how serious it is would be a great help. I'm currently in Salem and I'm planning on heading to Seattle tommorrow.
The car runs great but the noise definitely seems odd.
