Cylinder heads were misfiring, is this why a8 has been hesitating and loss of performance?

Cylinder heads were misfiring, is this why a8 has been hesitating and loss of performance?
My car has been weird the last year, the car doesnt pick up as well as it use to, And lately the car has been slower than usuall. But my car has been in the shop in the last week and the diagnosis was cylinder 3 and 5 were misfiring. And they said they had to replace some coils and something else. Do you think my car will be faster and more responsive once I get it back?
