vibration problems

I had been driving the car around all morning and it was fine. After I parked and the snowplow blocked me in, I shoveled out but still had to back through a bit of snow/ice to get out. The car vibrated like crazy at all speeds. It slowed to vibrating only above 40, and now it's coming down. Someone thinks it may be ice in the wheels offsetting the balance? Any thoughts?

I say yes... Same thing with my car right now, cant drive over 40 looking for a place to rinse it

driving me nuts and I have to drive to work tomorrow.

I have to fix it otherwise probably a good chance it will throw the balance off the wheel

Yes, it's ice packed inside the wheels. Mine did the same thing this morning, but it was gone when I drove home. But I do wish that whoever broke my taillight wouldn't have done it.

gone now. thanks for the info. feel much better now that it's not so high dollar issue.

snow or ice gets into the wheels and sticks there causing an off balance condition.

It will go away after it gets warm enough to melt off. Are you in MD? Email me if you are cause I am in Montgomer county. No fellow A8s here that are on this board.
