A8 Injector fail has blown Engine Computer?

Problem with fuel injector has apparently blown transistor in engine computer!
Anyone know where I can get a repair or replacement (other than dealer).
Thought it was just a bad tank of petrol causing the misfire, then hoped it was ignition coil but my local shop found injector not functional and replacement still does not work due to no signal from engine computer.
Any help or suggestions welcomed.

I would check the wiring

There is a procedure for checking the wiring for the injectors. I would make sure there is not an open circuit first.
