My A8Q is leaking a lot of oil....
117k on her, and I had a bit of engine smoke today right after I ended a spirited highway drive. A few downshifts, but nothing near the rev limiter.
No oil light yet, but I might get her towed a few miles to my Indy shop if the puddle of oil gets bigger.
I doubt I damaged the oilpan on a pothole, but my engine is relatively untouched for the mileage. Just one timing belt service thus far

It is on rhino ramps now
Dipstick is at about minimum level, just had an oil change a week ago... It is gonna keep drippin all nite, then tomorrow I will recheck and evaluate how to get to shop.
Oil is mostly dripping from pass side of the plastic pan. I am not about to remove that oily pan, any clues I find wouldnt do me any good as the shop does all the work.
If I was on the highway in 5th gear, with some 4th and 3rd gear passing action, would high revs mess up my old valve seals in a matter of 20-30 minutes? If the occasional sporty driving is too much for the 117k car to handle, I will be really shocked. I can learn to baby it, but those 300HP need to run IMO. No fun otherwise

Hello,
Without looking at the car there is no way to know what the problem is. It could be lots of things, from something as simple as a bad valve cover gasket, to something expensive like a bad cylinder head.
I hope you have a shop that you trust, because this could get expensive....

true, i forgot to mention I have full power, car is strong like always
