Attn: All 180Q Buyers

I'm a future roadster buyer of the TT, and I am curious why the 180Q buyers are choosing that configuration. Are you not going with the 225Q because of the additional cost, but still want to get into the Quattro? What is the expected cost differences of the quattro feature versus the 225HP engine? I've been seeing about $1800 delta for the Q, so there must be about $3K delta for the extra 45 HP right?<p>It seems according to German and Austrian web sites that the 180Q WILL be getting the 6 speed tranny which is nice. Is this a deciding factor for you?<p>Bring on the discussion! Thanks!

I know nothing about a 6 speed being available for the 180-Q in the USA. When I selected the "specs" for the car I have on order there was no choice of transmissions. Perhaps my car will show up with a 6-speed! Steve R. Norfolk, Va.

I didn't care about the extra HP or the extra waiting time. I do care about the all-season traction. How do we confirm your info about the 6 speed?

I'm coming from a front-wheel drive Lotus (read: lots of power on the front wheels) and just don't want that front-wheel drive feeling anymore. Yes, I've driven the TT front-drive and it was great, but... I *swear* I can still very much tell that it is front-drive. Which bugs me.<p>But really, the main reason I'm going with the 180Q is that I can't wait for the 225HP. I will trade my 180Q in for the 225Q if I need to (depending on $)... Must have TT now. Can't wait 'til spring '00.
