Default I think my Audi dealer is smoking crack

I stopped by my dealer yesterday to pick up the hard copy of my TT credit card deposit (left on the phone,) and I chatted with the salesman for a while. I don't really believe this, but we were talking about new model roll-out and he swore up and down that an automatic transmission version of the TT will be available in the fall time frame. Makes no difference to me since I'm waiting on a 6-speed, but this seemed to conflict with all the other info I've heard about no autos.
I think he's just high. I've thought about leaving a deposit at another dealer because the bull**** level at my dealer is making me nervous, but I contacted Bellavia by email (from their website) about getting a TT and got no reply whatsoever. I tell you the overall service level in this country is going straight to hell.

I am an Audi Brand Specialist and I think I'm pretty good at what I do. I do my best to stay current and I have never heard of an automatic transmission being offered on the TT. The only thing new coming out in the fall is the 180HP Quattro. I have order guides/codes for those cars and there is nothing about an automatic transmission. If you ever run across a salesman that does not seem to know what he is talking about, ask if he is a certified brand specialist. Nine times out ten he is not and he probably spends most of his time selling other makes.

If you're looking for good service, a good selection, and a genuinely nice dealership, try Audi of Bernardsville (NJ). I bought my TT from Kevin Ginsberg and he was a dream salesperson versus the guys at Town. Apparently Bernardsville is one of the largest Audi dealerships in the country, so they get a lot of cars. After my original deal fell through at another dealership, I was actually able to find the TT I wanted without waiting at Bernardsville. I talked to them on Wednesday night and took delivery on Thursday night. A painless process. I would recommend that you call Kevin if you are looking at trying another dealership.

Default Bernardsville Audi

I took my business from Bernardsville Audi to Paul Miller Audi because I thought I was getting a load of crap from B. Audi. When I mentioned to other Audi dealers that B. Audi had offered to chip my TT for $800., they thought I was smoking crack. I'm glad you had a good experience, but I was a little suspect. I can't believe that little hole in the wall dealership can be considered one of the largest in the country either.

Apparently they sell the most A8s in the country and are 2nd or 3rd in NJ. While not enormous, they are substantially larger than the dealership in Omaha NE where my family is located.
Interesting to hear that you had a bad experience. Maybe all of my other interaction with dealers was so much worse that these guys were only a relative good and I missed out on greatness.
Whatever the case, I have my car and it is beautiful.

According to my official TT order guide model# 8N355N is a 180hp 5 speed quattro. #8N3554 is a 5 speed front trak. When the order guides come out for the roadster and 225hp coupe it should list the transmission as a 6 speed. I know there has been a lot of interest in the tiptronic in the TT but Audi has not officially told us when and if it will be available. I hope it does come. Those will sell also. As soon as I get the new order guides and pricing information I will post it on this site.
