No Credit Cards
I just tried to use my credit card in order to reserve a spot on a waiting list for a TT roadster for my wife (it costs $500). The salesman refused to take a credit card, saying I had to send to send a check. Has anyone else had this experience? Can they really not take credit cards, or does he just want to make it harder for me to get my money back if I change my mind?

bummer...my dealer took my credit card as a first option....it seems asinine for a dealer to take a check as there is no way for him to know if there is money in the account until it is cashed. at least with a CC the dealer knows in a few seconds if there is cash to back up a deposit. It sounds like that guy hasn't caught up with the modern world.<br>

Merchants (like your Audi dealer), recieve only 97 to 98 cents on the dollar when accepting credit card. My guess is that they just want the extra couple percentage points. FYI, my dealer took $4,500 down payment on credit card.<p>Bryce
