Default TT availability on West Coast

I plan to order a TT. The dealers here in Washington state say that it could be up to eight months for a quattro. So I talked to a dealership in Calif. (Bay Area), and they said they've delivered about thirty front-wheels and I could have a quattro by Nov. Also he said that they don't know how much more they'le be because it's a new design, whereas up here they said it'll be $1700 more. Where's the truth, and should I just order it up here and wait my turn or is it better to go to a dealer that sells mega Audis. Any advice, please.

I just ordered a TT180Q from Livermore Audi (at MSRP), which is scheduled to be delivered sometime in October. As of 2 days ago, they had one more quattro allocation for October without a buyer. I don't believe any dealer really knows what the quattro option will cost. $1650 is what is costs on the Torsen based cars. The speculation is that the Haldex system shouldn't be much more, if any.
I spoke with April Friesen at Livermore Audi. She was quite knowledgeable, and is an Audi enthusiast. I've included their link below.
-steve
