Default Sticker Shock!

I went to my local dealer here in CA to check out the TT. They had a black one that had the wheel package, bose system, and convinience package. They were asking $38,760 for it! Do Audi dealers really think that people will pay close to $40K for a 180hp front wheel drive car? Don't get me wront, it's a beautiful car, but I think the dealers might price the car out of the market. This kind of tactic worked for the Mazda Miata years ago, but this time around, this tactic failed when VW dealers tried it for the new VW beattle.
Thanks,
Dale 96 2.8Q

Default tt ' s in los angeles

i went to beverly hills porsche audi and saw a tt with 18" momo wheels, that were chrome (ugh!!!)nice wheels and tire combo but i think chrome ruins the look. also, they wanted 6,600 bucks for the wheel and tire upgrade. please i can buy my own wheels and tires. i will make sure they are not chrome. that is if i decide to change anything on the car. i think the factory wheels are nice. i dont think i really wanna change anything on my car. im still waiting for it to get here. should be here by the 1st or 2nd week in july. mine is black with grey leather. with all the options. if u go to a dealer buy the vehicle stock, it is just a way for the dealer to charge you more money for the car. besides i dont think the car needs anything it is hot the way it is. i do have a question though, i saw a black tt in los angeles (actually beverly hills) that had a lower grill that was changed it ran up and down not flat like the factory with holes in it. anyone know about this lower grill? it looked factory, and was definitely something i would be interested in. if the individual that was driving the vehicle or if there is someone out there that knows the vehicle, it was a black tt with chrome wheels. let me know about the lower grill. thanks
