TT front stabilizer bar question.

Does anyone know the techical reason that the TT front stabilizer bar has those long link rods connecting it to the lower coil spring perches, instead of to the "A" arms as is normally seen? <p>To view, click on "Gallery" above, open Technical Images,and look at the front suspension layout.

My guess is to minimize the net bending load on the strut during cornering and the swing displacement (a weakness of McPherson struts).
