Default Lease problem (long)

Hi everybody:
Found a TT at the dealer (no wait). Not the color I wanted, but heck, I am lucky anyway.
They quoted me a lease payment that is like $40 higher than what the AUDI Web site calculator indicates. Well, I questioned it, and they seem surprised I did. They said there are other buyers ligned up if I don't take it.
I do understand that, but I feel hesitant to go with whatever they say. I guess the TT will be gone by tomorrow.
Any suggestions? They quoted me 520/month (36 month/12k miles/0 cap cost reduction). The AUDI web site says 479. This is for a loaded Blue TT.
Thanks much,
AC

Ask them for a detailed list of what you're paying for. The Audi calculator doesn't take everything into account.
Also, make sure they're financing from the MSRP of $33,925. If not, walk.

Make sure you're accounting for sales and usage tax. I'm paying $537/mo for my TT 39mo/15k/0down. That's MSRP. Inception costs were around $1600. Good luck.

Default That seem like so much...

I financed 26,000 at 7.5% for 60 months. I pay 530.00 per month. I did not lease because I exceed 20k per year. I realize that there are benefits to leasing, but the monthly payments are seem so high. After 39 months of paying nearly the same as I am, you will have nothing to show for it.

I meant to say that the car was sold to somebody else. I lost my chance.
AC

Default Reserve

Sometimes dealers add a few points to the money factor. This is basically an increase in interest rate and results in a larger payment and extra profit for the dealership. When in doubt, ask what the money factor is. Multiply the factor by 24 to determine the interest rate.

After paying $515.00 per month for 39 months, I will be able to buy my TT for $21,000. That is with leasing the full amount of the car. Instead of paying over $630.00 per month for financing, I will pay $515.00 per month and have approximately the same payout as someone who is financing after 39 months. I don't mind the payment at the end if I truly love the car (which I do!!).
