Questions for early US TT owners, from a soon-to-be S4 owner....

Ok, it's the end of June. I've had a deposit down for the S4 since July of last year. Just about a month ago, I selected the options that I wanted for my S4, but to this day I still do not have any official information about pricing and a delivery date for my car. I found out last Friday that my S4 is in "C status", which I guess means the order has been confirmed for production, but a production date was not listed. The next step, "D status", is the production step itself. Then followed by "E status", which is post-production inspection and what not. This is the info I got from my dealer. He tells me that he could guess within a few days once the car reached "G status". Or something.For all those who have just gone through the experience of waiting forever for your TT's, how long before receiving your car did you know specific things about your order, like PRICE, DELIVERY DATE, and so on?? Did any of you actually get your car early??? Or late??? If you were indeed "first on the list" at your dealer, did you actually get your car before everyone else?I am getting a little impatient about the situation, but I think I am speaking for most soon-to-be S4 owners who are experiencing the same thing.At least I have my A4 to enjoy until then. :-)Thanks!!Corey S Wett 97 1.8tqm

From the very beginning, I had my VIN and Joe Miller at Danbury Audi let me know where it was every step of the way, manufacting, on the water, at port, etc.. Actually came in a little early. Very nice experience.

Very nice experience.<<<<This can only happen when a car is already produced and awaiting shipping. If you walked into a dealership and asked to place an order from scratch, you will not get any number from the beginning. Once the order goes through AoA, an order reference number (internally known as a "request" number) is issued to the dealership. A VIN number is only available upon completion of the car's production.
