Default Recall Letter

Received the red bordered envelope from Audi apropos to the "Voluntary Safety Recall". The key word being "voluntary". Available in April and anticipated to take nine hours for everything. Don't want the spoiler, but may go for the suspension mods. Or, maybe not. Why screw with perfection?

Default Re: Recall Letter

I feel the car is darn near perfect as is and don't plan to take any of the mods for my 180TTQ. I don't want to make the ride any stiffer and certainly don't want a car that pushes (understeers). The cut and thrust nature of the current suspension and steering geometry is too much fun to ruin in my opinion. I have a 225 roadster on order for my wife and am curious as to how it's going to feel with all the mods compaired to my car. It's a May production vehicle so I'm sure it's going to have all the mods including ESP and that ugly damn spoiler. If I could I would keep it as the original engineers intended it to be but the safety ***** always seem to ruin a good thing.

Just My Thoughts

Default The more I drive it, the less I am interested in "improvements"

825 miles on my TTQ in the past week, love it, eats up the miles, as much fun to drive slow as fast, everyone gawks at it, even little old ladies in wheelchairs. The more I drive it as is, the less I am interested in changing anything, never gonna get it up so fast in the USA where aero lift will screw up the handling, love it now, dealer not going to get it back for suspension or spoiler, would spoil it.
