Sound System in TT
I've had numerous cars of all kinds (none in the Ferrari range of $$$)...this one has the worst audio system I've ever had - rivaled only by a Mazda Millenia a few years ago that also had a Bose system. I certainly know audio problems when I hear them. This system has extraneous electrical noises when CDs are playing.....very annoying. Others on forum have complained of same problem....depending on dynamics of music one chooses.
Additionally, other design aspects are poor.....like when you eject a cassette, instead of silence the system defaults to the radio, which you then have to turn off.....like the speakers are honky-peaky in mid....like bass is not tight....like if you turn on rear window heat while playing CDs, even more electrical noise!
Dealer hasn't fixed electrical situation yet......they're puzzled. Maybe some TT's don't have this problem, but that doesn't remedy mine.
.....one, the kind of music you like (if it has wide dynamics, you might notice the same problem I have, but if you pound away with hi-level rock, r&b,etc, you might not notice the defect even if it's there, and then it's simply a matter of whether or not you like how the system sounds).....
......two, go to the dealer and ask them to let you listen to a demo car's system that has the Bose.....bring your CDs.....they're likely to have a demo car with the upgrade, and if you are a serious buyer, they should accomodate you. If they won't, you need to find another dealer.....at 16, they might not take you seriously even though they should......$$$$ talks.
........and three, you can get a lot of system for $1200 if you get it separately afterwards from an independant audio dealer.
