TT's running in
My Audi car dealer is going to deliver me (at last) my TT Roadster 225. According to the dealer's information, there is no running in in the TTs. Do you agree with that?. I plan to make a long trip during the first days, in order to make something like 800 miles in a quiet way.

I'm always skeptical about that...
...ie I find it extremely hard to believe that there is no breaking in. On the other hand, I did go to the Autothority Tech Session this weekend that the Potomac Quattro club put on...and the tech guy did say that you shouldn't entirely baby your car during the break-in.
His reasoning was if you baby it too much, the engine never loosens up and you never get your max horsepower out. If you drive it a bit agressively (no redlining, but a few high rev instances), you'll loosen up the engine a bit.
Personally, when my 180 comes in I'm gonna drive it down to Skyline Drive.

Heh, I only thought of that AFTER I got back...since I only found out about it from my roommate and his S4 board. "Oh, maybe I shoulda mentioned it on the TT board..." 
Which of the two TT's were you? XXTT or TT REX? (or did I miss it)?

Mine is TT REX - its a dinosaur thing - or Latin if you like! :)
According to the club's web site, the next event is on Saturday, April 22nd, the Spring Fun Run, which I guess is an all day tour of VA and West VA, plus some supper for those who want to eat before heading home. Like so many QCUSA events, it's a charity thing, with proceeds going to two different charities. Driving and eating...driving and eating...hmmmm--could be fun. Maybe I'll see you at that one.
