ESP

It seems that ESP is an expensive option on all
Audis except the top of the line. If they're
willing to install it in my TT for free why
wouldn't I want it?

What's the down side of ESP?

I don't think there is much of a downside, especially since it can be turned off.

The complaints about the voluntary recall modications concern the spoiler and changes to the suspension, but I have heard very, very little criticism of ESP. When on, I understand that it dampens the car's agility, but for those who want to venture near the TT's handling limits, it can be turned off.

I have ESP on my TT, and it is superb......forget all the negative fuss - ESP is brilliant
