Default test drove a new TTQ today without the dealer along... wanted 500 below MSRP

I was pretty impressed with the acceleration. Noticed that there was a 'lag' or sudded drop in rpm when i shifted from 1st to 2nd or from 2nd to 3rd. It could be that i wasn't used to the clutch.... I have a 225 TTQ on order and might consider a 180 to save myself a few grand. Might save me some insurance too.
Anybody test drive both the 180 and 225 to see the difference. I haven't seen any posts comparing the two.

This was the first dealer that i've been to that wanted less than MSRP. The dealer is in Grand Rapids, MI if anybody is interested. It is grey and fully loaded except for the phone.

Thanks guys for all the good info.

Up to you, but I can get into more trouble than I need in the 180! Below MSRP great deal!

Default The 225 HP is more impressive (more)

The sound is a bit more aggressive with the 2 exhausts and the waste gate of the bigger turbo.
With the 6 gears the rpm are always a bit higher
which provides better acceleration and lower drops
in rpm between gears. The feeling is more sporty.

Default If you can swing the 225 I would go for it...

The Quattro is just too heavy for the 180hp engine, IMHO. It really depends on your driving. Even the 180Q has reasonable power above 70mph; it's just in getting to 70 where you'll feel the difference....
