Weird noise in 1st - 180q

During decelleration in 1st gear - say from 4.5K RPM down to idle, I hear a strange sound. It kinda sounds like a heat-shield or something not torqued down that's resonating. Anyone experiencing this?? Dealer tried telling me it was a flap or something in the turbo??? I laughed at the tech - maybe he's right. I don't know. Any suggestions would be helpful.

heat shield sounds correct.

I had the same thing too. It happened at 2250rpm.
Sounded like a loud roar. They reattached the heat shield, but that only worked for a little while. It might have come loose again.

I had a problem similiar to this. It happend when I accelerated or was on a bumpy road. It sounded like it was coming from the glove compartment or the speaker in the passenger's door. I took it to the shop and they had to install some insulation in the door and re-glue the existing insulation in the door.
