TT roadster production stats...

According to Motor Trend magazine(Feb 2000), Audi will import only 5,000 TT roadsters into North America (presumably including Canada and Mexico) this year. Of these 5,000 roadsters, 2,500 will be Quattros, and half of the Quattros (1,250) will be 225 hp. Translation: There aren't going to be many of these roadsters available, and if you have an interest, you should be making phone calls now.

Only 400 for France this year with 60% 225 Q (but we are only 60 million people here)

That makes sense. Audi always said that they planned on 10,000 TTs per year for NA. So half will be roadsters and half will be coupes. Thus the 2001 coupes will be just as "rare".

Any idea how they'll split up the coupes? (more)

Figuring 5000 coupes (which is the number I read too) then I wonder how many of each variety. My best guess: 2500 FWD 180's, 1250 180Q's, and 1250 225Q's. As I'm expecting a 225, that makes me feel pretty unique.

Anyone know?

There seems to be more Q's being purchased after it became available (more)

All in all though, I would think that actual distribution would be based purely on demand. Is Audi not going to allow someone to order a quattro or a 225 or a roadster because the quota is already filled?
