No Sound From Rear Speakers

I have a 225TT Roadster with the standard factory radio. When I turn te fader to the rear, I hear little to no sound. Where are the speakers in this thing I see probably a four or 5.5 inch plus small 3" in the door and I see a grill under my central storge cubby, but little to no sound comes from the grill.

Help, anyone...

That is, I believe, a subwoofer. Fader is strange in a TT. Off in BOSE.

But, mine does fade, though it shouldn't

When I took delivery of 225 TTR on Monday, the salesman was showing me how there was no fading with the Bose. But when he did, lo and behold, there was sound coming only from the rear. Maybe it was all coming from the subwoofer?

Stereo in 225R fades; 225C does not - Documented that way in manuals & we have confirmed on each

The fader in the 225C doesn't do anything and it's documented that way in the manual. The design and configuration of the stereo in the 225 roadster is different (it was designed to take into consideration the fact that it's a convertible and that the acoustics would be different). My significant other and I have one of each and finally (now that my 225R is here!) were able to do the comparison. (I'm not really sure why they disabled the fader in the coupe, though..)
