I finally have a date and time for our mountain drive. After reading a number of e-mails, it appears that Sunday, May 7, 2000 at noon works the best for the majority of respondents. Apologies to those who can't make it, but we will be doing our Monterey/Carmel rally soon, and maybe even a brunch or happy hour locally.

The starting point for our drive is the Mira Mesa park and ride in San Diego. If you are coming from points north, you will want to work your way to I-15 south. For most of you, that means driving southbound on I-5 and taking route 78 east. Continue to I-15 south, and take the Mira Mesa Bl exit. Make a right at the bottom of the ramp, and an IMMEDIATE right into the park and ride. Park toward the back of the lot, and I will have maps available for the route. I might also consider getting some grub at Chevy's (Mexican food) after we get back, but I'll let you tell me whether or not you're interested in that.

If you are coming from the south, you can probably figure it out. Again, the park and ride is just west of I-15 on Mira Mesa Blvd.

Yeah, I know it's a bit of a haul for you folks in the L.A. area, but we all love driving our cars, and I didn't get much input regarding a L.A. area drive. I do suspect that our next 2 meetings will be further north.
