Am I spoiled??
I thought I might be able to `get by` with a less expensive car, i.e. Mazda Miata, especially since earlier posts mentioned that Miata followers are also a crazy lot like us.
At lunch time, I briefly took a `97 and later a `99 Miata out to compare the ride with the Roadster. There was a big, overweight Toyota salesman (used cars) hanging on to me, so it was somewhat difficult to take the car to the limits.
The interior looked cheap, plastic, and had absolutely no class. The car felt very tight and cramped. In comparison, the TT roadster felt roomy and airy. The ride quality was terrible, rough, and gave me no particular `thrill` with acceleration.
Therein lies the problem. I am hooked and will not accept a lesser car. The question for today is, AM I SPOILED?? I would rather drool at others, and occassionly get my TT fixes, at the dealer, than drive another car?? Am I crazy too??
some of us really appreciate quality and elegant design. the TT embodies both of these, and you have come to appreciate it... everything else looks pale by comparison.
If you get a Miata, you might really like it... or might not for reasons mentioned above. better to wait and get the car that really makes you happy. that would be patient and prudent... not necessarily a function of being spoiled.

Unless your parking facilities are particularly unsafe, I think there are ways to protect your TT.
Spoiled? No. You're just burdened with an appreciation of elegance, beauty, and relaxed muscularity.<p>Desert Green TTQ, H&R Springs, BBS wheels, Borla

screw the Miata, unless you're just going to look at it as a temporary car that will suffice until it can be replaced by its better!
