Just got my Borla exhaust installed on my 180Q and I love it!!! (more)
Looks great and fit and finish is perfect. I was expecting a louder tone to it though. It is still quiet in my book. The loudest part is the low humming during idle. Going through the gears and on the highway it is difficult to notice the extra volume. I have read that the system needs time to break in so we'll see!
I'll update this in one week...
More pull is definitely noticable from 0-MAX. I haven't had the opportunity to see how it affects my top speed. I'll let you know.
As far as I'm concerned with these three basic modifications I have created a better car. One that the factory should have. I hope that this statement doesn't offend people but the car new versus the car now is NIGHT and DAY!!! Well worth the bucks...
...watch out Toronto, I'm coming up the left lane!!

Still the tip sticks out after it gets hot, then returns back to normal after an hour or so. Check it out and see if yours does the same.

What the muffler helps is the engine's breathing. With the stock muffler, the TT is like an athlete in competition while his (ok, her, Denny) sinuses are clogged. The Borla opens the sinuses.
Regarding sound, BrunoTT describes it well. It's a better sound, only slightly louder, but, imho, the advantage of the Borla is that it allows the engine to perform better.
Desert Green TTQ, H&R Springs, BBS wheels, Borla
