thinking about a car cover....questions....
Thinking about how to protect Baby. I've never used a car cover. What do you do with the car cover when it's pouring rain and you have to take the cover off to drive? Isn't it heavy and hard to move and messy? And it has to be stored out of the rain and wind, right?
Can't the cover damage the finish by abrasion?
Eventually the cover itself will get bird p--p on it and will have to be cleaned. How do you clean these things?
We need a garage, well, actually we need to move to a house with a garage, but my wife has feet in concrete....

Many car covers are multi-layered, with a water repellent outer layer.
The inner layer is made of a soft, non-abrasive material. I've been using one for months with no sign of scratching.
Since I live in Calif, I just don't use the cover when it's raining.
You're right regarding bird droppings, but they have been so few that I haven't dealt with the cleaning issue yet.
Regarding your wife, I guess you gotta crack that cement.<p>David
