Front License Plat Mounting
Just a personal 'you got to be kidding'...when I got my 225TTQC (aka AMULETT) the
dealer (or I was told by dealer the Audi prep center at the port of entry...Wilmington Del.
for the Northern Va. area) proceeded (prior to delivery) to attach onto the central license
plate area, of the front bumper, the infamous front license plate holder. In my car, the
holder came in screwed into place and I proceeded to de-mount assembly and install
black 'snap caps' to cover the four holes with the intention of replacing the license place
insert at a future date. When Ellen (aka 225TTR) got her 225TTQR (as in last night). I
was going to remove front license plate holder and do same exercise as I did on my
225TTQC....but this time no screws but 'pop rivets'! Damn...frustrating to see front
bumper mutilated this way! Okay here are the questions...
-Has anyone run into this same situation?
-If yes, what did you do?
-Can the license plate insert (for the Europe license) be removed and replaced with a new
painted one?
-If yes to above...how do you remove?

Question: why do you want to remove and paint it? Why don't you (more)...
just have your dealer replace the euro plate insert which I'm understanding he put rivets in, with a new one without holes in it in your body color? And just as an FYI...my dealer ASKED me if I wanted the front bumper plate mount.<p><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/wennch.gif " border="0">
