Could this be a record: from the docks of Germany to my dealer in 14 days?
Left port the the Wednesday before last and has already been released to the carrier in Boston! It looks like I'll drive it Wednesday night, have them put the CD changer in and take delivery Thursday, a week earlier than expected!

Where do you get this information? I need help...
My car has been in HA status for about 2 months(means on boat to port). Anderson Behl in San Jose has been absolutely no help with locking a delivery date for me!! It was supposed to come in last week!
Any info would be appreciated!

I think your dealer...
is jerking you around. Ernst at Diablo said it's taking about three weeks for transport of cars from Germany to the West coast, by way of the Panama Canal. My guess is they're not talking because they sold the car to someone else.

1.5 weeks ago, I called my dealer and he checked on the computer and said it had left the port and the boat was due in last Friday. Monday morning he called and said it had been released to the carrier. That's about all I know. Sorry I can't be of more help.

More to add........
Shipments from Asia, Europe, etc, is generally take 16 days 'on the water.' This also doesn't account for Customs, Custom entry, Custom inspection.
I work for an ASI company that manufactors promotional products and the process takes more than 20+ days, if your lucky. This is just PENS, too. Imagine the inspection for cars.<p>JasonC
