Zymol and the art of car polishing
Many thanks to all those who offered advice in the black art of Zymol. I spent most of Saturday building up forearms to put Popeye to shame, but the sun was shining all day, I had a few tunes playing in the background, a beer or 2 at half-time and it was actually a pleasant way to spend the day.
I'm not sure that I got the HD-cleanse process quite right - the stuff seemed to dry out as I was applying it and I ended up with brown dust all over the show; but the polish itself was very easy to use.
Of course, it chucked it down the next day, but my dismay at the weather was short lived when I saw the rain running straight off the TT.
Thanks again for all the tips. I'll post a couple of before and after shots, although it was dfficult to do a direct comparison because the sun moved a fair bit during the process !<p><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/nTTsig.jpg" border="0">

Black art is right! My HD Cleanse turned to dust, too. It looks great!

I waxed (Zymol Carbon) my TTQ this past weekend, and must say it was easier this time around vs. the first time. The tips definitely helped, but I'm still interested in trying the Zaino stuff. I have enough Zymol for one more coat of wax, so I plan on finishing off my container of Zymol before trying Zaino.
Your car looks great!! Did you use anything on your tires?? Couldn't really tell in the photo. A great tire product is Meguiars Endurance Tire treatment - the stuff really lasts, even after washing the car!
