Build week 17 on the boat... waiting for the cross.
Called the dealer yesterday and he gave me my VIN and said the car was sitting on the boat waiting to be shipped to Boston (I am in NYC).
Should be here in 3 weeks (10 on the sea, 5 coming down the coast).
As the days get closer it does get harder. I can't imagine what it is going to feel like the night before I pick it up or on the train ride out there.

Funny, I am supposed to be a week 15 build and my dealer's report still lists me as Status F.......
I wonder why my "status" hasn't changed since 4/13. Has anyone else experienced this phenomonon? I'm not usually this **** (even though I have been waiting for so long) but it is irksome to rely on such inconsistent tracking data. Kinda makes me wonder how savy my dealer is. Thanks for letting me vent.

BZ, it's good that your car is moving. . .mine isn't . . . I'm venting here as well (Tracy). . .
What I thought was a "week 18" production was just my dealers way of saying that the car will be built after ESP is introduced. Latest is that my car "will be built this month". This, and Tracy's post, makes me think that some dealers don't have the ability to track our cars as well as I had hoped. Sounds like yours does, BZ. It's encouraging to see that your car is moving and you get regular info/updates. Hopefully when I mention that to my dealer, he will do the same. I'd like to think that the 40K we are forking over should improve our customer service.

You should be bugging the hell out of your dealer though. I place my weekly call just to say "HI" and see what is up.
For $40K you should be able to ask a few questions and get a few answers. It is, however, making me crazy so I feel your pain!
