just another Boxster copy? Gotta admit it isn't bad looking... for the price, probably a lot of fun...

http://www.autoweek.com/main_inside_awhistory_gallery.php3?id=25</a

Default I saw it at the LA & SD auto shows and was quite unimpressed. It looked and felt very cheap.

Like you said, though, it's probably a lot of fun for the price. To me, it looks a lot better in pictures than it does in person.
225 TTQ Roadster silver/black/black

Before I could afford a TT, this is what I was going to get. Saw one this weekend, glad I stepped up

I test drove one last week with my girlfriend, it is not bad, the interior lets it down though, they have tried to copy some of the TT's features, badly! The 'aluminium' is very plastic, the dashboard looks as though it was designed by 10 different people with real comunication problems, no two switches seem the same. The hood is good, really easy although it is a bit scrappy from the inside with the hood up. It drives well, not too much shake for a small roadster.

But overall, save up and buy a TT, over 3 - 5 years the difference in cost probably isn't that much! My girlfriend won't be getting one, being driven around in 180 TTQ has spoilt her!

Default Saw one at the NY Auto Show....

Can't say I was all that impressed. It looks very small when you get up close to it. I also feel that they "took" a few too many things from the Boxster.

In general I don't think that Toyota has turned out a really well designed car since the Toyota Supra. It was a sad day for car lovers when they stopped producing that car in manual.

I like it a lot. I've seen a red and a silver in person. The red looks better in the pictures as TP and others have said. I really liked the silver, though. It made it seem much more "grown up". More "machine" and less "toy". Anyway, don't get me wrong... I'm still a TT guy to the very core. If I had $22,000 today and could buy a new MR2 Spyder, I'd just keep driving my crappy Ford and wait until I had $36 for my denim blue dream car.

I look at the MR2 spyder as a poor-man's, legal in the U.S. Lotus Elise. Very lightweight, emphasis on handling, etc. Sure it's no Elise, but the design concept was the same, and geez it's a lot cheaper.

Default Warren Brown reviewed the MR2 this weekend

He liked it (not as much as the TT), but said he was "terrified" by how small it was. Wrote something about a fear of being crushed by other compact cars or even "very heavy motorcycles." Hilarious. I'm sure the review is online somewhere at Washingtonpost.com.
Pat R -- Arlington, Virginia

Default Very cheezy and cheap looking car. . .

I saw a few on the street, and am NOT impressed with it. I don't think it is a very nice looking car, IMHO.

you need to see this one in person before passing judgement and I did! UGLY!

I agree - saw one in traffic two weeks ago. The rear is spooky! Disproportionately *BIG* taillights!
