Anyone experienced this : switch off engine, stereo stays on, car will not lock ?
It has happenned to me a few times now. Switching ignition on then off again fixes it - I

Several posts report this. It's to do with the plunger in the switch that detects the key in the ignition. Some have fixed this by squirting a thin oil (WD40 etc) in to the lock or alternatively put some on the key and work it in. If this is the problem you'll also notice the interior lights not working as normal.

I had the same problem last week, the service fixed it up in no time. Just a squirt of WD40 was all that was needed. Appearantly there is a switch within the lock that signals the electrical system that the key is withdrawn and that gets stuck sometimes due to contaminants and the system thinks the key is still in the lock.Therefore affecting the stereo and the remote door locks.
