NM TT gives yours truly a middle fingered salute as it's towed into the sunset...

So I figure I'll drive the NM TT to work tomorrow and then head straight for the dealership after the market closes. I remember that I've only got about 15 miles remaining until empty, according to my driver information display, so I'll head on out and gas it up today. I start up the car, and sure enough it shows 15 miles left until empty. But as soon as I hit the road, the display rapidly changes to show 5 miles remaining.
Still no problem, as there is a gas station less than a mile away. The car then begins to sputter as the mileage moves back to 15 remaining. Finally the car dies on the crest of a hill in the middle of the road. Very dangerous, as cars routinely come ripping over that hill.
Maybe if I can get this thing over the hill, I can coast most of the way home. But first, I must push it uphill a ways. And boy was it an absolute bi*ch! So here I am in my suit, sweating like a dog, pushing this pig uphill. After a near hernia, I got it over the top, and was able to coast the rest of the way home.
So as I'm writing this, the "TNT TT" plates have come off, and the Audi Mobility (aka AAA) driver has hooked up the TT and towed it back to Audi. So as much as I loved a lot of things about that car, I have never experienced so much frustration in my life over a vehicle (over 70 days in the shop, and it would have been a lot more if I hadn't faced the reality that it just wasn't going to be fixed).
The tow truck driver drooled over the TT, but I am glad, and perhaps a bit sad, to see it go. I suppose it's only fitting that it should end this way, being towed into the sunset, with that stubby little antenna pointing toward the sky, as if to give me a final one fingered salute.
