Bose Stereo question -->
I am by no means an expert, but I hope this helps. Email me at rdenglish@hotmail.com if you want to discuss it further, or if you have more questions.

Have you considered using the First Aid Kit compartment as a place to store stereo components?
I'll bet there are line output signals coming from the head unit, that you could create RCA outputs for. Then you could plug in any type amp and sub after that.
You'd have to replace the speakers, but you probably would do that any way.
I intend to take out this power amp, open it up,and trace the inputs and outputs. I'll bet there is a way to relate those input signals to the output lines from the head unit. You could imply add RCA jacks to the wires from the head unit, and power an amp.

It occurs to me (but I don't think it is likely) that Bose could use a digital link, or even send the control waveform for a switching amplifier...
