Upgraded Fader in 225 Coupe vs. Roadster
Just thought it was interesting that (as documented in the Audi manuals) that the stereo fader control works in the upgraded roadster stereo but not in the 225 coupe. Is it truly because the stereo is already so well balanced?

No, but it sounds nicer when you put it that way. Truth is, it's
really a matter of sound pressure level, and in a roadster with the
top down, I would imagine that no ability to bring the sound up front
might cause some consternation, especially at higher speeds. I have
a coupe, and believe me, you are talking about a small amount of cubic
footage to fill. That, and since Bose at least put a center channel speaker
in the system mitigates the need for a fader, since a fader is supposed to
allow you to accurately place the soundstage.
