Default Red 225Q Today!

Monday: Drove Jenner's hopped up 180Q
Tuesday: Called Hoffman Audi in CT
Wednesday: Went in to see cars - decided on an
Amulet Red / Black 225Q.
Thursday: Got Loan/Insurance
Friday: Picking up car

It's been a good week. I'm suprised there are so many people having trouble getting these cars. There were at least four coupes and three roadsters on the lot. I don't think that many people (at least my friends) like the red - but I do. Let the speeding tickets commence!

The problem with getting the cars for most people, is that they want to order *precisely* what they want. This is the kind of car that most people don't want to just jump to a car dealership and buy what is on the lot, unless by chance it is what they want. That seems to be your case.

In my case, I specifically wanted all options, including the GPS System, but no phone, in Brilliant Black/Aviator Grey. There is *no* way I'll find a car like that on a dealer's lot just waiting to be bought. OTOH, I found a 225 Roadster that was black, but lacked the GPS system which I *really* want, and I *really* want to get a coupe, and not a roadster. So I said "NO, order what you want", and I did. I will have to wait 4 months or so, but in my opinion, well worth the wait, since I'm getting exactly what I want (at MSRP too!). I figure this car will last me a long time. I don't plan on selling it for a long time, so I might as well get the exact car that I want, rather than settle for what is available.

That, I believe, is where the problem is most of the time for list members. It's just a matter of not sacrificing what they want for what is available.

On a side note though, congrats on your purcahse! You're not kidding on the speeding ticket thing! I've seen 4 (yes, four) amulet red TT's (not sure which year) pulled over in the past 2 weeks near where I live (mainly on the interstate). They appear to be a popular car to pull over.

Have fun with the car!<p>Chris Lawrence
