Well, the last two years Sean and I, and several other very hard working club members,
put on the NorCal Audi Club BIG event of the year. The first time at Neuspeed in
Camarillo CA (just south of Santa Barbara)....the second time at Sears Point Raceway
in Sonoma CA. This year?

Yep, were planning something...just a little bit later in the year due to "real" work
commitments. Here is what we are thinking...and we are asking for your input to
make it the best event ever....

Date: Sunday October 22, 2000
Location: Marina Airfield, Marina CA (just north of Monterey and the Laguna Seca Raceway)
Time: 8 am - 5pm

2) Audi Sponsored Autocross Event...including trophies for the fastest Audi in
G-Stock Class, Rookie Class, and C-Street Prepared Class. Another trophy
for best spinout.

3) Raffle Prizes - can we top last year? we sure are gonna try...

4) Car Show - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies in stock and modified classes.
($25 entry fee...to pay for the trophies)

5) Pre-Event Group Dinner at ?????????? Who can hold 75 people ?
Suggestions are welcome.

Any other suggestions? We thought about a swap meet....or a group
short shift install...or throttle body boot replacement install....Let me know
if you would like to see anything else. Oh yeah...we would definitely
be arranging for special hotel discounts at nearby hotels on Saturday
and Sunday nights.

OK. So that's not too helpful. But frankly I thought last year's Sear's Point event was first class (even though I didn't win a raffle prize!). I'd enjoy the drive to Marina, Sears is only 8 miles form home, and the list of participants looks exceptional. I would be interested in any one that has suspension upgrades for the TTQ. And any "big brake" upgrades.
Does Marina have good food? Sears is awful (well... not great anyway).
