Has anyone noticed their dash lights getting brighter or dimmer?
I was driving around last night when I noticed my dash lights were very bright. I thought maybe I had adjusted them to be bright, but they were set on the lowest setting. I moved the "switch" but the lights didn't get any brighter or dimmer. Worse, is I noticed the lights dimmed to less than even the lowest setting. I noticed this phenomena most when I was cruising in a gear that was a little lower than need be. I'm supposing having the motor rev like that for a longer period of time must have caused some type of power overload or something. Also, if I cruised around in a higher gear than need be, the lights got really dim. Do the Xenon lights draw that much power to cause a noticable change with other electrical gadgets?

I noticed the same thing some months back when...
the car was behind the red light ideling. In addition, one night when I started the car I saw the same thing and I noticed the minute digit in the clock was advancing once per second. I turned the car off and re-started it. After resetting the time, everything was back to normal with some dimming of the dash lights. The backligh in digital display in the middle of the dash was the worst in terms of dimming. This problem hasn't happen since then.

Of course they were on! I even turned them off thinking I was seeing things, but it happens with...
the lights off too since the dash lights are on at all times! Back seat got fixed while I waited and they were very embarrassed about the situation since they knew the seats were broken and had ordered the parts to fix it. Now, I'm noticing this dashboard light thing. It's sort of annoying and worries me since just last week, I had to call roadside assistance for a jump due to a dead battery. After the car was started, the gas gauge went crazy, it is fine now, but like I said, the dash lights have a mind of their own. Hopefully, it's not an indication of whether or not my alternator is working properly.
