Has anyone added a sub box with an amp by splicing off the built-in amp's input/output? Other ideas?

I finally took my stereo equipment out of my old car today and the box will actually fit in the TT...the only thing is, where do I get the sound feed from? My amp has line-level and direct inputs

Default I'm hooking up a new amp to the Bose system using a line level converter

hooked up to the deck (and mounted behind the deck) Then running RCA's to the hatch down the passenger side and the power wire down the drivers side. Then going with a JL 8W3 (8") in a tiny sealed box (.6 cubic feet). The amp is the Aura SR275. It is their top of the line 2x50 that looks very similar to the colour and the shape of the car. Check it out... The look is incredible and it is designed to HIDE ALL the wires going in and out of it.

I woould not suggest splicing off the existing wiring to your amp because that can effect the rest of the system if you have the Bose. The Bose runs everything at 2 ohms compared to all other car audi at 4 ohms. Hooking up your amp will probably load the system below 2 ohms. I would go to your deck and do it.

My new stuff is all going in on Tuesday...
I'll post the forum when its done.
