Default THIS FORUM IS THE BEST!!!! (Everyone READ)

Hello all. I've been debating whether to buy a 225Q coupe or wait for the 2001 M3. Well 2 weeks ago, I put down a deposit for an M3. But after lurking on the board, I would have to say...I REALLY want to own a 225Q! First off, this board truly seems like a family. I often "hangout" on the bimmer.org e46 m3 page, and all I see are flames and posts filled with immature attacks. It makes me sick!! This board, however, is always filled with positive support. I LOVE IT!!
Secondly, all of you guys, and I mean ALL, seems to LOVE your new TTs. Its amazing, I have not yet heard one disconcerning post against the TT. Is it really Love guys? Cuz honestly, I want a piece of the action =) Well, thats my post. I just wanted to commend you guys on maintaining just a good family atmosphere on this board. Kudos to all!!!

Default It has been my consolation during the interminable wait. The info/experience of others is invaluable

Default My experience is similar...(more-long)

It started as an obsession with the car after seeing it in a Kinko's parking lot in So. Cal. in October 1999. Soon after, by a chance of genius luck, I happened across the TT Forum. After asking some questions and getting to know the landscape, I bought my 2000 180Q in late December...

Keep in mind, I had never even heard of "car forums" prior to my new found obsession - thought that boards for were for chaTTing it up with young hotties :-)

Well, THIS forum is great and as far as the Hotties? They all have four-wheels - some have improved response though... LOL!

The folks here are great and yes, we love our cars. I have learned a great deal here. NOT just about cars. There is a unique quality that comes across on a board; it is easy to be misinterpreted and far easier to offend. Sometimes is is not even the misinterpretation and offense, it is simply the response that others' may have to your posts. Great examples of situations exist in the archives. Many are very humorous and some downright ugly.

So, with that said, the "family" continues to evolve with a commonality of interest in a simple but gorgeous car. I have 'met' a number of fabulous folks here and thru them I know about their cars, experiences, and even, their lives - outside of their TT obsesssion.

Enjoy your new ride and keep coming back :-)!

Default We do have our share of flames and attacks here as well...

But it seems to be getting better. I periodically monitor the MBZ, Porsche, and BMW boards, so I agree with your findings. This is probably the most interesting and constructive forum, in my biased view.

For whatever reason, I'd say that the SLK forum is the nicest. Those owners are really friendly and kind. I'm not sure why that is.
