Default Please, quick help: Has anyone fit a mountain bike INSIDE their TT?

If so, how? Did you have to remove both wheels or just the front?

I have been bugging a good friend to get a mtn. bike for years and I don't see him for two weeks and he shows up with a Cannondale full suspension/disc brakes/aluminum frame monster. Gonna look awfully goofy next to my 1995 GT Talera! Now I gotta put my $$ where my mouth has been!

I cannot afford the TT rack with the bike attachment right now ($600.00!). Besides putting the bike inside, other suggestions besides taking the wife's bus amd leaving her with the TT all afternoon?

Thanks very much.
Ivan

It's been done, with both wheels off and a "medium-sized" bike (YFMV)

Default Agree. As a professional financial advisor, I generally suggest that...

Clients should avoid taking on consumer debt. However, in this case, the debt sounds reasonable and you really do need that rack. There is an aftermarket rack that is cheaper, looks nice, and fits the TT's female connectors. I forget who makes it, though.
