Default Thanks (and question)

Do you know if any of the speaker outs are not in use? It seems if there's both line outs and regular outs, one set would be waiting to be used for a sub or something. Any ideas? Thanks.

Default The BOSE uses the Line Outs only. That would then leave the speaker level outs unused but (more)

Using the speaker level output from the back of the concert is not IMHO the best choice. You would most likley what to either put a crossover inline with the BOSE speaker level outputs to the rear Woofers (Pin 14 +, Pin15 -) on the BOSE Amp connector, preserving any "BOSE Audio enhancements" or use a crossover inline with the line level outputs to the BOSE amp to provide a SUB out to an external amp and Subwoofer. The line level outputs save you from the effects of any amp induced clipping/distortion. Also, I believe the BOSE uses only the "front" line level out from the Concert Radio so you could use the "rear" to feed the sub.

FYI - the Right and Left rear BOSE Woofers are connected in Parallel to the above Pin 14 and 15.

I'll post the wiring diagrams on monday.

Default thanks and new question about new head unit

Thanks also for the diagram. I have a 2000 180hp TT. I want to install my Sony MDX8970 Mindisk head unit along with a 10 disk changer.

Question 1: What do I have to do to install this unit to work with the existing speakers and/or amp? Do I need to get a new amp to work with the speakers?
Question 2: Where is a good place in the car for a CD changer? I was considering the back of the right rear passenger seat. (as if I could have a rear passenger besides MiniMe!).

I would appreciate advice from anyone who has modified their system. Thanks!!!
TT Coupe 180hp Slvr
