Default Fallingwater advance scout team mission report and recon photos...

Well, it truly was a 24 hour adventure! Jay and I left at 3:20 PM yesterday and we got back at 3:30 PM this afternoon - what a trip! 275 miles each way, plus we did about 100 miles of area recon this morning. I'm beat!!!

But all is good news and I have a better feel for how all of this will come together. I'm really glad that we went and I know this event will be epic!

Anyway, I will send an update to the attendees within a day or two when I have a more relaxed brain to compile an email, but here are some photo highlights of todays adventure...

1. Here's what we woke up to this morning!

2. Those folks bringing beer and single malt may wish to heed this sign!
<img src="http://slashwrist.org/tt/Fallingwater-March-2001/march-18_02.jpg">

3. Glad I still have my winter rims and tires on! Taken at about 2,500' and about 10 miles east of Fallingwater.

4. What a mess!!!
<img src="http://slashwrist.org/tt/Fallingwater-March-2001/march-18_03.jpg">

5. Jay thought this was funny. I yelled at him to not scratch my paint.

6. Helmut needs a bath! And we found a local self-wash in Somerset. Yeee hawwww!!!

7. "Jay, are you having fun yet?"

I didn't see a Glenmorangie symbol on the hazardous materials sign.

Default I was worried about folks driving through the tunnel after eating at the Somerset "Eat N' Park"!

Default Ah, the Eat N Park. Otherwise known as cheap date night in State College.

I am really sorry I am going to miss this event. Think about me!

Default What a difference 200 miles make...direct south down here in Northern Virginia...

my son and I decided to take AMULETT out for a country cruise....mid 50s..breezy...perfect tubo weather. Of course when 'we' take a cruise that means he drives...his comments...exhaust (Miltek) sounds cool...not ricey (this is a guy with a TRD setup 2000 Celica GT)...loves the MTM chip...favorite gear is 4th...at 80 mph (we were on a stretch of the Dulles Greenway that is very vacant of other cars...as yes it was for short spurts)...anyway blew the ol Miltek exhaust out and gave the K04 a work out. I am liking this set up more and more...this week phase III of the continued improve of AMULETT.
Peter...did you find some interesting back roads for 'polite' country cruising? ;-)
