European Cigarette Lighter vs. Cell phone charger

<center><img src="http://www.gbrown.com/tt.jpg"></center><p>I've noticed that the cigarette lighter is too short for my cell phone charger. Does anyone know of how to keep it from popping (or vibating) out?

Yes, you need this.

Radio Shack P/N 027-1533E. The "E" is important, it's the European adapter.
The P/N in the RS catalog is not the same as this.

Do you need to buy the whole thing or is the ring seperate?

That's right Jeff, the RS's around here DON'T HAVE THE DAMN THINGS STILL.

I am thinking maybe I have been looking for a little plastic ring when I am looking for an adapter kit to use the ring from.

As far as I know, the whole damn thing. I bought one just for the ring.

Or check with your cell phone store

cell phone stores have plastic adapter rings,
if you're lucky you may even get one for free.
also, some cell phone chargers come with them.

Funny... I went and bought this adapter without seeing if I needed it....

The new TT's must have the US version.. I didn't need it at all...

I'll give it to any one who wants it !

Thanks! That did it. My local RS had 5. And "Yes!", you have to buy the whole thing for the ring. But paying $4.80 for it didn't break my budget :-).
