Anyone successful with TTR roof liner this weekend? Initial thoughts / comments?
Having lived with it for a couple of days now, I'm happy with it. It does cut the noise somewhat. It is nice to cover all the tubes and such to make for a more finished look.
There are a couple of places where it doesn't fit perfectly, but with black on black it is hard to notice. The grey one would be much more noticeable. Also the black color isn't a great match for the other black in the interior, but again, hard to see that unless I'm looking closely.
In case the link posting is still not working, here it is: https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/212365.phtml

Stratmosphere Headliner report.

But, by moving the plastic cover piece at that angle, I broke off the Caution/Press button piece of plastic on the inside of the latch.
I also had problems with the new tubes that the liner was stitched to.
Not all the holes lined up on the new tubes, with the holes on the frame. I had to drill 4 holes in the tubes to get them to align properly.
Also, when the tubes are put on, you really need to look where they are, in relation to the metal rods, as there is little room or give in order to adjust them. You need to remove them, line up the holes, then pop them back into place.
The result looks very nice, but it's not an easy thing to do.
My back is sore from the contortions I had to do, both getting the tubes in place, and from doing the top of the liner.
