Need some more... I'm sure there are more than 2 unregistered TT owners out there...Don't be shy...

Any comments or changes/suggestions for the page?

Direct link to my h2o page

Default Looking at your map - You should meet us in NJ about halfway point - about 276 miles

from Boston and another 250 to somerset !! - would be a good place to strech and nature break - then continue - we plan on making one stop about 1/2 along the way.

info on NJ meeting place

Default I just saw your map you posted...

Anyone local to the Tapp know when the construction around 287 is supposed to get really bad? I hear it is going to pick up. It will depend when you are crossing the bridge of course, but it may be faster to take 84 across the Newburgh Bridge.

I have no idea which is faster... this should be worth thinking about though. $0.02

Default Good point - I was up there last week, and LOTS of signs warning about upcoming closures !

Think they were starting this week, sure they will still be going on in April.. Probably during non rush hours, which is when you guys will be there... Should plan a diff route..

Default The current plan is for 33 MONTHS (not weeks) of construction... again if I remember correctly

But this is coming from someone in North Carolina, so why should I know (or care) about the details of this construction project. ;-)

Default I just ran some numbers...

I just looked at taking 84 West to 81 South to 76 West. I came up with 8:53 for the drive (543 miles).

When I throw the Tapp in the equation, the drive is 540 miles long and estimated at taking 9:14.

I set my mapping program to 70 for Interstate & Toll roads, 65 for non-interstate divided highways and 50 for state routes. The program has proved to be pretty accurate when you don't encounter traffic with this speeds set. I typically set the cruise to 70-75mph but my speed ends up varying between 65 & 80.

I hope this helps in the planning!

"Hey, you got a problem with that?" <-- (apply heavy NY state unionized road worker accent)
