Default 1 for 2 on the replacement mirrors

OK - someone had to do it ... I broke my driver's side-view mirror assembly putting on the Euro "Blind spot" mirror. The passenger side went on fine.

I broke part of the internal mechanism. I'm hoping someone can tell me what I need to order now to fix this. The mirror itself attaches to a plastic frame. The frame pivots on an assembly that houses the directional motors. The frame clips to each motor (plastic gear strip) and the pivot. I've snapped off this underlying pivot (part of the motor housing???). Epoxy didn't hold. Crud.

So am I into it for the entire mirror "guts", motors and all? Or does any of this come separately?

Default I'm sorry but glad I am not the only one..

The same thing happened to my driver side. I removed the mirror notor mechanism from the mirror housing and drilled a small hole through the mirror holder and the motor mechanism where they attach. I fastened the two with stainless steel wire twisted very snugly- it only pivots a small amount. The alternative was to replace the entire mechanism, but I dont know where the electrical connection goes or what it costs. Good luck.
