Yes, an actual quote from my waitress. I was reading a Road and Track article about the current F1 drivers. Subsequent conversation revealed that she thought NASCAR was the world's leading race series. (Well, it might be,but that's another discussion.)
She thinks my TT is "really cute" but her boyfriend has a real sports car.....a Camaro!
Pity....I really like the restaurant, too.

I said this before but it is worth saying again....
Besides the fact that most of the tracks are boring (ovals) I have a hard time relating to the cars.
Nascar fans are dedicated to the *marques* as well as the model of car. Explain to me exactly what these NASCAR's have in common with the production models besides having 4 wheels and a motor. I know I am preaching to the choir here but I just dont get it...

It was also once said that there could be an interesting twist to get non Nascar fans to watch...
If every 10-15 laps they let a few deer out on the course just to make it interesting, then I WOULD WATCH IT
